John was born and raised in Austin, Texas and graduated from Texas State University with a degree in finance. With almost 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, John has helped over 3,000 families purchase or refinance their homes!

John’s purpose is to empower clients to make confident financial decisions. He presents all options and carefully guides clients through each step of the loan process. Before becoming a mortgage originator in 2002, John was a financial advisor specializing in personal financial planning. Soon, John began to focus on helping clients manage their home financing. Because John started as a financial advisor, he offers a unique skillset for advising clients on the best mortgage for their financial plan.

Rhett was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He began his career as a bank teller and quickly worked his way up to a role as a personal banker where Rhett discovered his passion for helping people finance their homes.

For more than 12 years, Rhett has helped hundreds of families finance their homes. Schutze Team’s goal is to ensure clients meet their goals by creating a custom home financing plan, uniquely tailored to their needs. When Rhett is not working with clients, he enjoys attending his daughter’s sporting activities and doing anything outdoors at home in Wimberley, Texas.
